Intervale Community Farm
We are a 500-member household community-supported agriculture (CSA) farm founded in 1990. Owned by the members of the Intervale Community Farm Cooperative, ICF grows about 20 acres of certified organic vegetables, herbs, flowers and berries on 45 acres of Intervale bottomland. We offer summer and winter CSA shares, with membership priority given to ICF Co-op members. All produce is distributed at ICF in the Intervale where members may enjoy the bounty of the land firsthand. ICF is committed to providing a diverse blend of excellent quality organic food at a good consumer value in a sustainable and participatory manner. For information on membership, operations or employment, please contact Intervale Community Farm. (http://intervalecommunityfarm.com/)
Half Pint Farm
Half Pint Farm is as small as the name suggests, cultivating only 2 acres of sandy silt loam Intervale soil with over 200 varieties of specialty and baby vegetables. Half Pint Farm is dedicated to using bio-intensive methods designed to build a healthy soil, while providing high yield. They have experimented with these methods for over 15 years, utilizing them in a variety of climates, from the tropical South Pacific as U.S. Peace Corps volunteers to the high plains of Colorado, to graduate school in agro-ecology in Western Pennsylvania. Mara & Spencer are also using hoop-house structures to extend the growing season and increase the quality of their produce. Half Pint Farm produce can be found at farmers markets, local restaurants, caterers and natural grocers in the Burlington area as well as through their small gourmet CSA called the Half Pint Farm Food Club. City Market (Onion River Coop)
City Market, Onion River Co-op, community-owned food cooperative located in beautiful downtown Burlington, Vermont. City Market is Burlington’s only downtown grocery store, open 363 days per year from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
City Market provides a critical service to the residents of Burlington and the larger community by providing conventional, organic and local products at a fair price to all.
The Co-op is also extremely dedicated to supporting the local economy and enhancing the sustainability of agriculture. We work with over 1,000 Vermont vendors to feature the widest selection of local products in the state. 73% of the vendors we do business with are located in Vermont and over 60 cents of every dollar in sales stays here, not at some corporate chain grocery store office in a big city. We are member-owned, so the profits generated by Co-op members are returned to our members when we are financially stable. This is called our Patronage Refund program. (www.citymarket.coop)

Bread and Butter Farm
We are a new farm, conveniently located in South Burlington and Shelburne, Vermont, about 5 miles from downtown Burlington. Adam heads up the small dairy and the wood-fired oven bakery. He manages a small herd of Jersey cows that produce creamy, rich milk which we sell from the farm, raw. In the bakery, Adam bakes traditional 3 seed bread (sunflower, flax, and sesame), a 100% rye, an Everyday Loaf, and a Farmer’s Bread. All the flour is organic, local, and milled the day before baking. Corie heads up the specialty greens production in Passive Solar Hoophouses, producing delicious, nutritious, organically managed greens all year long.
Together, we aim to build a community farm that will engage the local community through providing delicious food and hosting fun, family events. We are on a mission to show that local is best, that knowing your food is imperative, that being a part of what you eat means you are enjoying your food to the utmost!
