What does the program involve?

• Live and study in Belize (Central America) with UVM faculty
• Take field-based courses--focusing on issues of sustainable development--with UVM and Belizean faculty (all courses taught in English)
• Get hands-on experience relevant to your academic work through service learning
• Spend time living in a Maya village, in the rainforest, and on islands on the barrier reef, and visit wildlife preserves and Maya archeological sites
• Practice Spanish (and try your hand at Belizean Kriol)

What about credits, tuition, and financial aid?

• Earn UVM credits and meet CDAE and ENVS major and distribution requirements
• Earn credits towards a minor in Community and International Development
• Pay UVM tuition and apply your UVM financial aid (additional scholarships are available)
