Belize Semester Abroad Program in Sustainable Development

What does the program involve?
- Live and study in Belize (Central America) with UVM faculty
- Take field-based courses--focusing on issues of sustainable development--with UVM and Belizean faculty (all courses taught in English)
- Get hands-on experience relevant to your academic work through service learning
- Spend time living in a Maya village, in the rainforest, and on islands on the barrier reef, and visit wildlife preserves and Maya archeological sites
- Practice Spanish (and try your hand at Belizean Kriol)
What about credits, tuition, and financial aid?
- Earn UVM credits and meet CDAE and ENVS major and distribution requirements
- Earn credits towards a minor in Community and International Development
- Pay UVM tuition and apply your UVM financial aid (additional scholarships are available)
