Your Path to Medical School

Doctors help restore and maintain the health of their patients as their work involves the study, diagnosis, and treatment of injury or disease.

The key difference between osteopathic and allopathic doctors is that some osteopathic doctors offer manual medicine therapies and tend to focus on whole-body healing, with or without traditional medication.

The courses outlined below will help you meet the pre-medical requirements for admission to medical school.  It’s important to note that the vast majority of applicants to highly competitive medical schools in the United States apply with more than the minimum course requirements. Also, direct patient care experience is critical to the process. Research experience, readily available at UVM, is strongly encouraged.
