Boston: Introduction to Sports Management

The program fee is $685. Tuition is included in your spring course load, unless you register for more than 18 credits. Some of the meals will not be included in the program fee. At the time you are admitted, you will be required to submit a $500 non-refundable deposit.

Students will learn the principles of Sports Management.  In addition to course work and experiential learning students will have an opportunity to see theory in action at site visits to contests, venues, and businesses.

Additional information:
Schedules permitting the class will attend a Boston Bruins Game, Boston Celtics Game, College sports game, tour a college facility, meet and tour sports related businesses based out of Boston, sports industry guest speakers, and more.

Leon is currently entering his 11th year at UVM as the Club Sports Coordinator working with 60 Club Sports and nearly 1,700 participants. In addition, he’s also entering his 7th year as an Instructor of Sports Management at UVM and 6th year as an assistant coach with the St. Michael’s College Women’s Hockey team. In the past, Leon has extensive experience coaching high school and youth hockey and managing a year round hockey school in Toronto, ON.
