Courses start 9/1!
Behavior Technician Specialist
If you have a love of psychology and behavioral health, a behavior technician role provides a good balance of both. Our Behavior Technician Specialist certification program sets you up to begin your career with the skills to thrive and earn your credentials as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
Through the MedCerts RBT program, you will learn a series of documentation and protocol rules and regulations that have to be adhered to, not only for thorough records but also according to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) guidelines and HIPAA regulations. You will study a list of subjects written by a licensed BCBA-D (Board Certified Behavior Analyst – Doctorate) and BCBA in order to learn the material needed to test and pass the BACB RBT Certification exam. Both of these are extremely important – this course is offered as part of the RBT training and should be understood prior to taking the BACB examination for the RBT certificate.
You’ll encounter a variety of individuals in the healthcare industry and having training in Professionalism in Allied Health will prepare you to handle any situation that comes your way. Each customer, patient, or client is critical no matter where you work, and no organization can afford to overlook or neglect the power of customer service skills.
In order to become a fully certified Registered Behavior Technician, you will be required to complete a 40-hour training before being eligible to take the RBT exam. After passing the exam, you’ll be qualified for a number of Behavior Technician related jobs and be responsible for direct contact with patients in various settings. Earning the RBT certification demonstrates your expertise in ensuring the proper treatment of your patients and providing excellent customer service.
*PLEASE NOTE: This training program is based on the Registered Behavior Technician Task List (2nd ed.) and is designed to meet the 40-hour training requirement for RBT credential. The program is offered independent of the BACB.
There are additional requirements (outside of training and examination) mandated by the BACB for those on the path to earning the RBT designation. Visit www.bacb.com/rbt for more information.

Medical Laboratory Assistant
The MedCerts Medical Laboratory Assistant program provides students with immersive and virtual hands-on learning experiences. Procedures are demonstrated using virtual tools or live-recorded video and are simulated – allowing the students to immerse themselves into a virtual experience that is engaging, safe, and repeatable.
This program prepares students for the Certified Medical Lab Assistant (CMLA) certification exam, offered by American Medical Technologists (AMT). MedCerts graduates are eligible to take the exam and will earn provisional certification upon passing. Once employed as a Lab Assistant, graduates will gain the 120 hours of documented, approved clinical laboratory experience required for the grant of full certification. Additionally, students will have the knowledge for the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification, through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). In order to receive full certification, students are required to complete 30 venipuncture and 10 capillary sticks on a live person.
