Section Description

This online course introduces drawing and several techniques used by artists. Drawing will be examined though class projects, looking at artist works and through reading and discussion. This is a foundation level course, and as such, no prior experience with drawing is required. However, students benefit from a willing and curious attitude in regard to your learning process, and will do better in this course. As this is a shortened 4 week class, students should expect to spend at least 25 hours a week working on materials for this course.

Section Expectation

This is a skills based course, and much of the content builds on previous assignments. You will have two weekly deadlines, and you will be expected to keep up with work assigned in this course each week. As this is an online course, you will be able to work when you want each week, but the deadlines every week are time-based and are required. Sketchbook and portfolio assignments will be graded as submitted. Criteria for assignments and projects will be communicated. You will be required to write a self-assessment for the final.
