Asynchronous online

Section Description

This asynchronous online course focuses on the fundamentals of observational drawing, emphasizing the skills needed to create naturalistic and believable compositions. Students will acquire technical and conceptual skills essential to the drawing process while developing their personal vision and creative goals within the field.

Section Expectation

-Self-paced Studio Work: Pre-recorded instructional videos and exercises will guide students through observational drawing techniques. -Virtual Critiques: Regular online discussions and peer feedback through shared galleries. Students should expect to spend 2-4 hours per class day on coursework, including watching instructional content, practicing drawing techniques, and engaging in critiques.
