Section Description

One Health is the belief that the health of humans, animals, and the environment is all related to one another. Using a case-based approach, this course will expose students to the intricacies of One Health through the in-depth exploration of six One Health topics: Zoonotic Diseases, the Human-Animal Bond, Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations, Harmful Algal Blooms, Antimicrobial Resistance, and Climate Change. Each topic will be introduced using a specific case, and then we will work our way through the various components of each topic using a systems-thinking approach.
