FAQs

Is there a preferred sequence to your courses: Digital Marketing Fundamentals, or Specialized Courses (in SEO, Social Marketing, Digital and Social Selling, or Strategy and Planning)?

Generally speaking, no. Depending on your background in marketing and familiarity with digital marketing, your job responsibilities or future career goals, you may have the need for specialized in-depth knowledge in specific digital channels. In these cases with a focus on Search Marketing, Social Media Marketing, selling products or services on the Web, or creating a digital marketing strategy and plan for your organization, our specialized courses will offer the depth you will need.

Digital Marketing Fundamentals offers a broad coverage of all of the channels within this field.  If you have a marketing background yet graduated before the advent of digital marketing, this course offers an excellent orientation to SEO, Paid Search, Email marketing, Display Advertising, Social Marketing, Mobile Marketing and Analytics. If you do not possess a marketing background and have a desire to move into this field, Digital Marketing Fundamentals offers you a solid foundation on which to build further studies.

Meanwhile, our Specialized Certificates go in-depth into a specific channel. If you have responsibility for one of these areas, SEO, Social, or Digital and Social Selling, our 10-week special focus courses offer the depth required to develop and implement a campaign. If you possess some background in digital marketing yet want to go deeper into a specific channel, our Specialized Certificates may be your best options. If you have responsibility for developing a digital marketing plan for your organization, our Strategy and Planning Certificate may be right for you.

Feel free to explore with our advisor any questions about the right course for you.
