Section Description
This course explores the micro and macroeconomics of money and banking in the modern economy. The course is divided into three sections: money, the payments system, and debt instruments; depository institutions, deposit insurance, and regulation; the Federal Reserve's role in macro stabilization and financial crisis management.
Section Expectation
Students will be expected to keep up with weekly readings and be active participants in a classroom environment that combines lecture and discussion.
Evaluation
Final grades are based on 3 exams and 3 homeworks.
