Section Description

Introduction to macroeconomic concepts, institutions, and analysis. Focus is on the U.S. economy. Explores problems of unemployment, inflation, income inequality, and macro instability and how government policy can be used to address these problems.

Section Expectation

Regular class attendance, preparation for and participation in in-class problem solving.

Evaluation

Optional homework sets and learning exercises, in-class midterms.
