About MATH 2700 OL1

Students will be introduced to the basic ideas and algebraic structures of interest theory, time-value of money, annuities, loans, bonds, cash-flows and portfolios. Prerequisites: MATH 1224, MATH 1248 or MATH 1242.

Section Expectation

This is an asynchronous online class. There will be video lectures for you to watch along with notes/supplements. I will be there to help via office hours (remote or face-to-face). You can expect to spend about 10-12 hours each week on this class. Evaluations are done in the WebAssign system. The cost to access WebAssign is about $25 for the semester if you purchase access directly through WebAssign.


40% - Assignment Average (There are many assignments, and you get infinite attempts on each assignment.) 30% - Test 1 (Midterm Test) 30% - Test 2 (Final Exam)
