Section Description
The Applied Practice Experience (APE) is designed for you to apply the knowledge and skills gained during your MPH coursework in a public health agency near where you work or live. The agency should address issues of mutual professional interest to you and an agency-employed preceptor selected during the fall semester during which you began preparing for the spring APE. The culmination of the APE includes the completion of two “products” for a student portfolio.
Section Expectation
This is an online course. Course activities may include readings, videos, and discussion board postings. Additionally, there will be a variety of readings incorporated into the course, none that you need to purchase. Your APE agency may require readings to orient you to the work activities and products you will be undertaking.
Evaluation
Grades are based on successful completion of all APE requirements, discussion board engagement, and a written assignment.
