Student Outreach & Support

Marketing & Communications

Summer U (the “brand” for summer semester) is managed by PACE on behalf of the university.  Additionally, PACE designs and executes on a full marketing and promotions plan each year beginning no later than November 1.  This plan changes based on historical analyses and channel conversion from the previous year, though common attributes are the refreshing of the creative images and copywriting for the website, on-campus activations including internal and external banners, door and floor signs in the Davis Center, campus signs on shuttle buses and digital screens, organic and paid social media campaigns, and other digital marketing channels, search engine optimization, geofencing key events on campus and in Vermont, email outreach, and social media video content and influencer campaigns, and may also involve advertising placements across out-of-home channels, traditional and digital radio, and other media sources as well.

Advising Resources

Advisors are encouraged to help students use summer as a strategic tool—catching up, getting ahead, or exploring new interests. PACE provides program maps and advising guides to support these conversations.

Accommodation Procedures and Timelines

Faculty and departments must follow the standard process for academic accommodations through Student Accessibility Services. Early communication ensures appropriate arrangements for accelerated summer formats.
