The accolades keep rolling in for UVM Grossman School of Business’ Sustainable Innovation MBA program. For the second straight year, The Sustainable Innovation MBA program has been named the #1 Best Green MBA in the nation by The Princeton Review.
On the heels of the Princeton Review award in November 2018 came the announcement that Corporate Knights, a London-based CEO Magazine has named The Sustainable Innovation MBA program #1 in the United States, and #5 in the world in its Annual Better World MBA list.
With its first-place ranking on the 2019 “Best Green MBA” list by Princeton Review, the UVM program led Ivy League schools including Cornell University and Yale University, which ranked second and third on Princeton’s list, respectively.
The Sustainable Innovation MBA program replaced UVM’s traditional MBA program, which the school offered for 38 years, when it was launched in 2014. The mission of the program is to prepare and train individuals to create profitable and sustainable business opportunities in a world undergoing transformational change as well as develop the next generation of leaders who will build, disrupt, innovate, and reinvent sustainable business and enterprises in a world that demands it.
The “Best Green MBA” rankings are based on students’ assessments of how well their school is preparing them in environmental/sustainability and social responsibility issues, and for a career in a green job market. The Sustainable Innovation MBA was also included in The Princeton Review’s list of the 252 Outstanding On-Campus MBA programs. This list was based on data from surveys of 18,400 students attending the schools and of administrators at the graduate schools.
Corporate Knights ranks programs based on the number of core courses, institutes and centers, and faculty research produced in the last three years related to sustainability, including corporate responsibility, human rights, and ethics.
Applications are currently being accepted to the Sustainable Innovation MBA one-year, on-campus program which starts each August. In addition, a short, 8-week online certificate program Leading Sustainable Innovation Professional Certificate program is accepting applications and offers discounts for groups of five or more from the same organization.
