Her teaching approach prioritizes kindness, adaptability, and student-centered learning, ensuring that all students, regardless of background or learning style feel empowered in their educational journey.

Surbhi is currently pursuing her MS in Biostatistics at UVM. She has extensive experience mentoring students, facilitating workshops, and designing academic programming. Her leadership role in a high school journalism program, where she guided students in both academic and residential settings, reinforced her ability to foster meaningful connections and support holistic student growth. As an international student who navigated challenges in adjusting to new academic and cultural environments, she deeply understands the importance of mentorship and community in student success. She is excited to bring this perspective to SUMA and looks forward to contributing to a program that equips high school students with the skills, confidence, and connections to thrive in their next academic chapter.
