Scott Reeves grew up in a family deeply rooted in the ski industry, a passion that shaped his lifelong love of mountain recreation. His career began working for his father as a ski instructor at Catamount Ski Area, where he developed hands-on experience in the sport and hospitality aspects of ski operations.

After graduation, Scott started at Sugarbush Resort as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. Through dedication and hard work, he advanced steadily within Mountain Operations. His leadership and operational expertise later took him to Mount Snow, and for the past 19 years, he has served as Sr Director of mountain operations at Stowe Mountain Resort.

Beyond his professional career, Scott has contributed significantly to the broader ski community. He served on the Vermont Tramway Board, helping shape safety and operational standards for ski areas statewide. Additionally, he shared his knowledge as a part-time instructor at Northern Vermont University, teaching Introduction to Mountain Recreation to aspiring professionals.

Scott’s commitment to service extends beyond the ski slopes. In his spare time, he has volunteered as a firefighter and currently serves as the Fire Chief of the Stowe Fire Department, a position he has held for the past four years.
