With a B.S. and M.S. from the University of Vermont, Allison’s journey began at the Vermont Cancer Center, where she explored multidrug resistance in cancer cells. Transitioning to education, Allison earned a post-bac teaching license from UVM, launching a 25-year career in teaching Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition, Introduction to Forensics, and lately, Human Cell Biology and Hematology. She has been an active contributor to education, serving on curriculum committees, working as an academic coordinator, and training instructors. Prior to teaching at UVM, Allison was honored to be the recipient of the CCV Teaching Excellence Award in 2013 and 2021 as this recognizes her commitment to student success. Allison’s approach to learning focuses on adapting her teaching style and methods, ensuring the best chance of success for all students.
