Selections from principal Roman authors. May be repeated for credit with different content. Topics vary by offering; periodic offering at intervals that may exceed four years. Prerequisite: LAT 2100, LAT 2200, or equivalent.

Prerequisites: LAT 2100 and 2200 or instructor permission. Colocated with LAT 4600 A Total combined enrollment = 10 PACE students by permission and override

Section Description

We will read selections from the three main areas of Cicero's writings: letters, oratory, and philosophical essays.

Section Expectation

The main even is reading the Latin. There will also be presentations of scholarly articles and a communal effort to create a timeline for Cicero's works.

Evaluation

Periodic tests, presentations of scholarly articles, and a written project.
