Addresses communication with the public to build stronger, healthier, safer communities. Students use public communication skills to craft messages for a defined audience and consider how public/private entrepreneurs/organizations can help solve societal problems, particularly related to college-aged audiences.

Section Description

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of digital marketing storytelling with a focus on enhancing organizational outreach within the community. Students will learn how to define market intent, identify target audiences, and develop compelling marketing content. Building on these core principles, the course explores practical execution strategies on major digital platforms such as Google and Meta, as well as methods for analyzing and refining marketing campaigns.
Through a combination of lectures and insights from guest speakers in the digital marketing industry, students will gain both theoretical knowledge and real-world perspectives. Collaborative team projects will culminate in the creation of a professional creative brief for a local organization, which will be presented to its board.
