Section Description

This course will provide an overview of crop production from planning to harvest. Topics covered will include the management of nutrients, soil, water, and pathogens in relation in crop production. We will also explore practical aspects of agronomy such as field design, seeding/planting, harvest, and post-harvest processing. This course will also explore the production of some of the major field crops for North America.

Section Expectation

Students completing this course should be able to describe the many management strategies that may be employed to commercially produce crops.
