Section Description
You speak publicly all the time. You may have given a speech in high school or presentation at your job. Maybe you pitched a vacation idea to your family or gave a PowerPoint presentation in class. Public speaking is a life skill. Whether you are here to overcome some speech anxiety, or to fulfill a core requirement, you are going to develop skills in research, public speaking, style, delivery, and persuasion.
Section Expectation
We will have some lectures about what public speaking is and best practices but largely focus on practical applications. If you’ve come in with some experience you will get to home in on exactly how to be a more persuasive enigmatic speaker. If you are brand new you will gain more confidence standing in front of an audience and advocating for yourself. This is a class everyone of all skills levels can and will succeed in. Everyone will complete this class gaining skills on research, rhetoric, writing, and speech delivery that will serve you throughout your life.
