Section Description

The aim of this course is to explore the fundamental molecular mechanisms that happens in a cell in different disease states . Diseases covered can include Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer’s, Diabetes, and Osteoporosis. This course will emphasize the cellular and molecular basis of these diseases.

Section Expectation

Acquire foundational knowledge in the cellular and molecular aspects of different diseases; interpret scientific literature based on knowledge acquired during the course; develop the skills necessary to explain scientific information to a larger audience.

Evaluation

Students will be required to complete two in-class exams, complete article reflections, and give a presentation on a chosen primary article.
