Review of syntax. Readings from various authors. Prerequisite: GRK 2100 or equivalent.

Section Description
We will read all of Lucian's True History, often called the first science fiction novel. Time permitting we may also do selections of Xenophon's Anabasis and / or Longus' Daphnis and Chloe. THrought he reading we will review morphology (= word forms), build and consolidate vocabulary, and deepen fluency with syntax.
Section Expectation
Students should be well prepared for each day's reading, i.e. be able to identify, to the best of their ability, all forms and syntactical constructions. Please also come fully loaded with cool ideas and observations from thinking about what the text says, and its possible connections with other ancient texts and ideas.
