Section Description

This course is designed for students who have completed Genki I, Genki II, and Quartet I (L1-L3) or Tobira. It aims to help students apply the language skills and knowledge they have accumulated in previous courses to engage in more complex and in-depth conversations in Japanese. This course incorporates authentic Japanese multimedia materials (e.g. Japanese movies, songs, drama etc.) to enhance students’ linguistic competence and cultural understanding. Students are expected to practice expressing their opinions and participate actively in thoughtful discussions in Japanese

Section Expectation

There are no required textbooks or workbooks. However, it is highly recommended that you bring any textbooks you have used in previous Japanese classes—such as Genki I, Genki II, Quartet I, or Tobira—to support your review and continued learning. Regular attendance and active participation are expected.
