Individual work on a research problem selected by the student in consultation with a staff member. Prerequisite: Twelve hours in education and related areas; endorsement by a sponsoring faculty member.

Section Description

This course will focus on current issues and "hot topics" in higher education administration. Course will operate in 3 modules, each on a different topic with a different instructor. Module 1 will focus on student learning assessment and institutional assessment in higher education. Module 2 will focus on business operations and budgeting in higher education. Module 3 will focus on international higher education. Course features 3 co-instructors, guest speakers, and connections with university administrators. Section Expectation

Course will meet both in-person and online - modality will depend on the week's schedule and activities. Those wishing to only participate online should register for section B of this course. Details will be provided by instructors. Expectations include: consistent attendance at class sessions for engagement with guest speakers and experiential activities; curious dialogue with instructors, peers, and guests; group projects and assignments; seminar and workshop-style class sessions
