Explores the fundamental principles that govern the lives of microorganisms and their interactions with the biosphere. Utilizes data generated from a variety of papers to demonstrate that microbes can both contribute to and offer solutions for the environmental challenges our planet faces. Prerequisite: MMG 1020 or MMG 2010.
