Contemporary artists create work across various approaches, materials, and media, often tackling complex, nuanced, and sometimes provocative topics via diverse creative, aesthetic, and gestural processes. This is a hybrid class in which you will make work, and learn about contemporary artists, engage in discussions, critiques, and research all in order to develop your skills as a contemporary artist. There will also be field trips, visiting artist presentations, readings, and workshops.
