With dogs as a model, explores the impact of genetic modification and selection, neonatal to adult development of the brain, the science of how the brain learns, human involvement and its impact, and the factual language of dogs. Prerequisite: Animal Science major or minor, Psychological Science major.

With dogs as a model, explores the impact of genetic modification and selection, the science of how dogs learns, human involvement and its impact, questions of ethics and welfare, and body language of canids. Prerequisite: Animal Science major or minor, Psychological Science major.

Section Expectation

The ability to be near live demo dogs is required.

Evaluation

This course will have three online, in class (closed book) exams. The grade will be divided between these and attendance.
