Section Description
Strong, clear writing is the foundation of all effective communication. These skills are important not just for professional communicators, but all careers today. In this class, we'll learn how to create stories that people will remember through words and images. Students will learn new methods of research that make their stories stand out. They will also practice how to present them in ways that capture people's attention in our fractured media landscape. Prerequisite: ENGL 1001 or ENGL 1740.
Section Expectation
In this class, we learn by doing. We will be writing and telling stories from Day One. Class attendance is important. Classes are interactive and important to learn and practice new skills. Weekly assignments will allow students to test new abilities, and completing them in sequence is important, because the skills and concepts build upon one another.
