About ENGL 1001 D

A foundational composition course featuring a sequence of writing, reading, and information literacy assignments. Students learn to write and revise for different rhetorical situations while increasing their mastery of academic conventions. Some sections designed for specific student audiences.

Section Description

Writing is the most comprehensive way to communicate knowledge, research, ideas, concepts. The reason why is what writing does for you, the writer. Writing—the very process of writing—is an act of thinking. In our class we will encourage and nurture writing as a thought process beyond communication.
