About WLIT 1350 OL1
Selected topics in Japanese literature. Readings and discussion of representative works in English translation. No knowledge of Japanese required. May repeat for credit with different content. Topics vary by offering; periodic offering at intervals that may exceed four years.

Section Description
In Reading Japanese Manga we will be reading a variety genres of Japanese Manga in English Translation that engage contemporary issues in Japanese society. This is an introductory course that initially covers some basics about reading and analyzing manga, but majority of the course will be reading, analyzing and discussing the texts.
Section Expectation
You are expected to complete all of the readings and come prepared to discuss the content in class discussions. This is an online class on TEAMS, please come ready to engage the class and have your camera on to help facilitate a sense of community.

Reflection Essays, Class participation (includes online discussion board), and Final essay
