This course will prepare students for the ServSafe Certification Exam. The topics include food safety and proper food handling in a restaurant setting.

Section Description

This course will utilize the National Restaurant Associations ServSafe curriculum to prepare students to take the ServSafe Exam.

Section Expectation

Students are expected to come to class and complete readings.

Evaluation

Students will be evaluated based on weekly quizzes and/or the ServSafe National exam. Those students who do not wish to take the national exam will be graded based on weekly quizzes. Those who opt to take the national exam during the finals period, and successfully complete the exam, will receive an "A" in place of quiz grades.
