Section Description
This course focuses on the study of nutrients and their specific functions in metabolic process integrating cellular physiology, biochemistry, and nutrition with an emphasis on macronutrients. We will adopt a depth over breadth philosophy in this class, focusing almost the entire semester on the details of carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins. Through this course, I hope you gain a deeper understanding of the various processes that govern metabolism and energy use and how these processes impact health and disease. We will also dive deep into hot topics in nutrition and discern good information from less reputable information on nutrition.
