Section Description
(Note: the syllabus linked above is for a PRIOR semester, but the broad outline of the course will be similar.) An introduction to composition for (mainly) acoustic instruments via directed composition projects, improvisation, listenings, readings, and analysis. The focus is on writing music for live musicians, as opposed to electronic production.
