About ARTS 1100 D
Introductory study of visual experience through drawing and its transformation of the three-dimensional visual world onto a two-dimensional surface. Emphasis varies with Instructor. Credit not awarded for both ARTS 1100 and ARTS 1011.

Section Description
This course introduces drawing and several techniques used by artists. Topics and methods explored in this course may include observational drawing with graphite and charcoal, perspective drawing, and conceptual drawing. Drawing will be examined through class projects, looking at artists works and through reading and discussion.
Section Expectation
This is a foundation level course, so no prior experience with drawing is required. A willing and curious attitude towards your learning process will benefit students. Lab fees for this course will cover most of the materials required.
Evaluation
This is a synchronous course. Students will be graded on homework, projects, final reflections, and reading discussion responses. Attendance is required.
