Course meets in HSRF Open to degree and PACE students

Section Description

Class will cover applied deep learning for imaging/microscopy applications, foundational genomic models, and protein design/folding. While applications will be the focus, use and implementation of Pytorch to understand neural net basics and transformer architectures will be a part of the course. Students who are new to coding will be expected to learn Shell and Python in an accelerated fashion in the first two weeks of the course. Pytorch will be learned/applied in the course incrementally, as will basics of CNN architectures.

Section Expectation

Three projects, completing a computer vision exercise, a protein design exercise, and a genomic ML exercise.
