Section Description

This course offers an introduction to sociology as an academic discipline. Sociology aims to understand the workings of the social world systematically. Throughout the semester, you will explore the scientific examination of human society and social behaviors. You will develop and apply your sociological imagination to gain deeper insights into current social issues, as well as comprehend how collective action, social movements, and social policies can either alleviate or exacerbate social inequality.
