About MU 2311 A
Intensive study of solfege, elementary keyboard harmony, and dictation. Students should also register for MU 2310. Prerequisite: Ability to read music and to sing or play a musical instrument at elementary level. Co-requisite: MU 2310.

Section Description
An introductory sight-singing/ear-training/keyboard class, designed to support the curriculum of Harmony and Form I. Focus will be on introducing and strengthening skills required for proficiency in solfege, dictation, and applied keyboard harmony.
Section Expectation
Class format resembles a guided practice session rather than lecture. A text such as The Musician’s Guide to Aural Skills, 4th ed., by Joel Phillips et al. will be used.
