Section Description

A critical readings class where students read and present landmark pharmacology papers and link them to modern experiments and clinical applications.

Section Expectation

2 credits. Co-requisites: PHRM 3010 or Graduate standing.

Evaluation

Students are expected to present 3 research paper presentations (75% of grade) as a powerpoint during the semester. Attendance and participation in discussion will account for the remaining 25% of the grade. All papers will be supplied on Blackboard, so students who are not presenting are expected to review the basic premise of the paper, but not expected to be an expert. Students will provide peer reviews for all presentations Evaluations will be provided after each presentation (peer and instructor) and improvement will be considered in the final grade.
