Further development of oral proficiency and advanced study of grammatical structure of modern Japanese, supplemented by audiovisual materials and authentic written texts of several kinds. Prerequisite: JAPN 2200 or equivalent.

Section Description
This course is a continuation of the JAPN 2200. Students will continue learning basic 4 skills (i.e. speaking, listening, reading, writing) by using Genki II during the first half of the semester. The second half of the semester will use Jokyu e no Tobira which focuses on reading and discussion skills. We will cover Lesson 22 and Lesson 23 for Genki, and Lesson 1,2 and 3 for Tobira. Required books: Genki II: An Integrated Course in Elementary Japanese, Textbook and Workbook. TOBIRA Gateway to Advanced Japanese Learning Through Content and Multimedia
Section Expectation
We will have in-person classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Evaluation
Evaluation includes attendance, homework, exams, and final project.
