Section Description
In this course we will delve into the multifaceted issue of climate change and its inherent inequities. The course will spotlight key topics relevant to climate change with the objective of equipping educators to develop engaging, place-based curricula. Participants will learn to harness the power of project-based and service-learning, while embracing opportunities for student involvement in climate change mitigation and adaptation. In addition to covering the fundamentals of climate literacy, we will explore how traditional ecological knowledge, social-emotional learning, and the arts can help prepare students for the challenges of climate change. Throughout the course, learners will be encouraged to draw on their experience and passion to inspire climate resilience and foster student agency.
