About MATH 2522 B

Vectors, matrices, linear independence, vector spaces (with focus on real n-space), determinants, linear transformations, eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Applications from engineering and the sciences incorporated through required computer assignments. Credit not given for both MATH 2522 and MATH 2544. Prerequisite: MATH 1248 or MATH 1242.

Therefore, you should <b>purchase it online on your own</b>. Please do so <b>as soon as possible</b> to avoid a situation where you would not have access to the textbook when you need it.<br> <br> 2. Use of Matlab:<br> Three out of five projects in this course will require use of Matlab. While prior exposure to Matlab would be helpful, it is not required. One Matlab help session will be offered (if needed) before Project 2. If you have never used Matlab before, you should be prepared to learn a few of its most basic commands on your own, using Matlab resources that will be specifically listed for each assignment where Matlab will be required. These resources include the Appendix in the textbook and a Matlab Primer posted at the above webpage. You should also plan for asking questions to the instructor at least a few days before the projects are due, as well as for attending the Matlab help session. <br>
