This course introduces students to a variety of different types of group fitness classes, such as yoga, Pilates, spinning, total body conditioning, and other aerobic clesses.

Section Description

This is a self-guided, self-scheduled pass/fail (graded: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory) course. Students set their own schedule to attend the required number of 28 group fitness classes to achieve the required amount at the end of the semester. This class is great for regular group fitness participants who are looking for an additional credit or students who are new to group fitness and would like an incentive to participate and try a variety of classes. Section Expectation

Students are expected to track their own recorded classes regularly and report any issues to the instructor within the 7 days rule. There is no limit as to the number of classes that may be attended and, although it is recommended that students participate in a variety of classes, it is not a requirement.

Evaluation

To receive a passing grade, students must attend a minimum of 28 group fitness classes throughout the semester (or 25 with the completion of a written assignment). This class is solely graded based on physical participation there are no alternative assignments for missed participation.
