Section Description
This course introduces students to a range of topics which comprise the field of “public affairs”. Students will learn about the policymaking process as well as develop a deeper understanding of, and hopefully a fuller appreciation for, how matters of public concern are understood, framed, analyzed, implemented, and changed. The course will focus on contemporary social and political issues impacting society.
Section Expectation
This course combines lecture and discussion formats as well as guest speakers. Students should expect to spend 6-8 hours a week on coursework outside of class as well as additional time for course project(s).
