Section Description
This class will examine sport as a social institution, emphasizing interrelationships between sport and the social context in which it exists; analyzes functions and dysfunctions of sport in contemporary society. We discuss the following topics : History of Sport, Youth Sports, Gender Equity in Sports, Race and Sports, College Athletics and Professional Sports.
Section Expectation
This class is online and asynchronous. All course work is expected to be completed by the end of the class.
