About HLTH 2530 B
Preparation to become an Emergency Medical Technician. Covers all of the objectives of the National EMS Blueprint for Education. Students must successfully complete all requirements prior to sitting for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam. Prerequisites: Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS CPR). Co-requisite: HLTH 2531. Pre/Co-requisite: HLTH 1030.

Preparation to become an Emergency Medical Technician. Covers all of the objectives of the National EMS Blueprint for Education. Students must successfully complete all requirements prior to sitting for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians licensure exam.
Section Expectation
This is a hybrid course that has both synchronous in-person and asynchronous requirements. Open to Degree and PACE students. This course will meet on the following weekends on Fridays (5:00-8:00pm) and Saturdays (8:00am-5:00pm): 1/26, 1/27, 2/2, 2/3, 2/23, 2/24, 3/1, 3/2, 3/22, 3/23, 4/5, 4/6, 4/19, 4/20 In addition, students are required to attend skills labs (offered numerous and varied times during the semester) that will be scheduled individually with the instructor(s).
