About HLTH 2530 A
Preparation to become an Emergency Medical Technician. Covers all of the objectives of the National EMS Blueprint for Education. Students must successfully complete all requirements prior to sitting for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam. Prerequisites: Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS CPR). Co-requisite: HLTH 2531. Pre/Co-requisite: HLTH 1030.

Must have BLS Certification prior to first class; Lab Fee: $30; This course also meets on the following weekend days (tentative) from 8am-5pm: 3/23, 4/20 or 4/21; Open to Degree and PACE students; Prereq enforced by system: HLTH 1030
Section Description
Preparation to become an Emergency Medical Technician. Covers all of the objectives of the National EMS Blueprint for Education. Students must successfully complete all requirements prior to sitting for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians licensure exam.
Section Expectation
This course has outside of class lab requirements: Clinical Simulation Lab days Saturday, March 23 & Saturday April 20 and 16 hours of Supervised Skills Practice lab (lab time outside of class will have 4-6 options per week with minimum expectation of attending 1 session every 2-3 weeks)
