About CDAE 1170 A
Digital illustration introduces methods of conceptualizing and executing illustrations to solve communication problems, using a range of techniques within vector and raster-based software applications. Prerequisite: CDAE 1150 or ARTS 1400; Community Development & Applied Economics major or minor; or Instructor permission.

Section Description
An introductory level studio course held online. Topics and coursework focus on the development and use of digitally generated illustrative imagery in communication.
Section Expectation
Typical format: hands on computer lab work using Adobe Illustrator CC and Photoshop CC, lecture and demonstration. If working off campus students should have an Adobe software subscription, as well as a computer/laptop that is reliable and that runs the software. Development of work outside of class is expected. Evaluation
Students are assessed via a range of 4 constructed illustration projects.
