Susan is a senior human resource and business executive, with over twenty years’ experience in
the for profit and non-profit sectors. She specializes in leadership training and employee
relations and is passionate about teaching and sharing the breadth and depth of her knowledge
with others. Susan is a Strategic HR Business Advisor with The Richards Group, providing HR
solutions, consulting, training and support to clients to ensure their businesses are aligned with
HR best practices.
Susan is a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and served on the VT SHRM state council
for 10+ years, including her role as state director and the Northeast Regional Membership
Advisory Council representative for SHRM National. She has taught business, humanities and
HR classes for Vermont State University and Community College of Vermont for over 20
years.Susan holds a master’s degree from the University of Kent in Canterbury England, and a
bachelor’s degree from UVM.
